Why You Should Choose FUE Hair Transplant?
Hair loss is a cause of stress among both men and women due to various reasons ranging from age, genes, medication, alopecia etc. So hair transplant is a viable option for people who face a large amount of hair loss.
During a hair transplant, Hair grafts (Each graft contains 1 to 3 hair follicles) are taken from a part of the head (usually the back of the head) that has a permanent and potent hair graft and placed on the bald area.
There are two types of Hair transplants: FUE and FUT. FUT is a traditional method. Here a strip of skin of the back of the head is removed and the hair grafts/follicles are extracted and placed on the bald area. It leaves a large scar on the back of the head.
Since in FUE scars are tiny and scattered which heal very fast it is considered the safest and the best hair transplant method. Our hair transplant surgeons will create a plan to transplant the follicles that matches your natural hair growth pattern.
Regrow’s Hair Transplant In India Procedure
Here is a step-by-step walkthrough of an FUE hair transplant at Regrow to help you make an informed decision.
Before proceeding with the transplant our surgeon will examine your level of baldness and calculate the required number of hair grafts to cover it. This will also determine the cost of the hair transplant. And they will show where the harvesting of the hair grafts will take place.
The site of harvesting is called the donor area, which is usually the back of the head where the strongest of hair grafts are present. On the day of the transplant, the donor area/head is shaved and washed as a preparation for the transplant.
Step 1: Marking the Donor and recipient areas
Our physicians will mark the donor (back of the head) and recipient areas (bald areas).
Step 2: Local Anesthetic
A local anesthetic is applied to the donor area, which is the back of the neck and the roots of your hair. It numbs the area which will minimize the pain and you won’t feel almost anything when the grafts are being removed.
Step 3: Harvesting of the hair grafts from the donor area
Our physicians will harvest the healthy hair grafts from the donor area with the use of a micro punch tool. Here they will make a tiny circular incision around the graft to isolate it. A tweezers-like instrument is used for extracting the graft from the scalp.
Our technicians will use the high-powered stereo microscope to collect live grafts for transplant. This step takes take about 2 to 4 hours.
Step 4: Actual Transplant
A number of small channels are opened equal to the number of hair follicles collected and grafted. To achieve a natural look, the grafts are strategically placed one by one according to your hair pattern. This whole process takes 2 to 3 hours.
